dc.description.abstract A similarit,y solution is sought for a laminar boundary layer flow about a vertically heated developable surface. This surface defined as the envelope of a one parameter family of planes, a surface that can be developed or rolled out on a plane without stretching or shrinking i.e. a surface for which the tota! curvature vanishes , identically. The present study concerns the variation of curvature effects, variation of surface temperature and also the stream wise variation of the components of the ambient fluid velocity. Except when othef',vise specified the treatment is restricted to problems satisfied entirely by the similarity requirements. Transpiration effects are also considered 10 find the influence on the flow parameters. en_US
