Abstract:
Gu~ hydrute~ <Ire two or multi-component crystalline materials formed when free "Inter is
available in hydrocarbon gases at reduced lemperature. When hydwles are formed in the
transmission line of natural gas, they reduce the flow efficiency by reducing the effective
diameter of the pipe and also create problems in sensing devices of regulating system.
]n winter ~euson. .Ialalabad G"" T & D System Ltd. faces II severe gas regulation problem
from the f0l1l1ation of gas hydrate at Beani Bazar Gas Regulating Station. When the waler
vapor and condensate containing gil:>, coming Irom Beunibazar gas field, is expanded from
1050 \0 550 p~igin regulating station, there occurs a 101 of temperature reduction and
formation of gas hydrate in sensing devices.
In this study, gas hydrate and it phase behaviors arc described at \'arious temperature and
pressure and some techniques arc discussed to overcome the probl~m of gus hydrate
formation. As gas consumption in Beanih<var Gas Regulating Station is very Jow, the
economically viable technique would be de-icing ,ystem by alcohol injection. Liquid
separation system may apply to improve the effectiveness of the applicable method for
prevention of ga, hydrate /olTIlation problem, Hydrate formation may be reduced. if the ~et
prc~sllrc of 1" cut r~gulating stream in Bcanibazar gas station is raised up.
