Development of a web application for bus information management system

Abstract

Online bus ticket and reservation services are effectively increasing in the e-market. In Bangladesh, some local software has been implemented which are basically manual computerized reservation system. There is no existing online reservation system in Bangladesh. Online Bus Information Management System is an efficient way for ticket reservation. It saves OUT valuable time with more flexibility. Online Bus Information Management System serves us in several ways. Such as ticket reservation, checking availability of seats, independency of choosing seats, security, speed, reliability, cash and mobile payment. Basically, this system resides on internet as a website on Linux Server. PHP is used here for implementing techniques and forming the main structure of the website. All transactions of data of the website are maintained by MySQL 5.0. The main objective of this project is to assist the public in gaining an easier and faster way of reservation with more selections and real time information. The bus companies are able to offer customers the precise estimation of bus schedule and reminder using this software.
