Review and comparative study of network monitoring tools in Linux

Abstract

Tcpdump software is a network sniffer is used for network monitoring In Linux Operating System. A graphical user interface which provides an intuitive front-end is developed for this console programming. This simplifies the usage and makes it easier for people to get started using tcpdump as a flexible network monitoring tool. Java programming language is used for developing this Interface because it provides easy Abstract Window Toolkit and it is platform independent.
