Design of a website for online hotel reservation

Abstract

The Online Hotel Reservation System will allow managing all reservations for a hotel or hotel-chain through the Internet, acting as a link in the communication between customers and Hotel. It provides its clients a state of the art an Internet browsing and call center, allowing real-time on-line booking capability worldwide. Travelers can search the hotel with one click and browse all the available facilities in the hotel. The Design of a Website for Online Hotel Reservation (DWOHR) allows fast and complete look and feel of the site throughout the booking and cancellation process, with many messages and booking/cancellation options. This powerful on-line booking application incorporates all facets of a central reservation system. The flexibility of the site is adaptable to the tour, packaging, cruise and any other travel-related industry requiring a date and rate based database. DWOHR is comprised of Hypersonic SQL database based integrated with platform independent JAVA programming language. It is fully scalable to larger platforms (which support Oracle). All user interfaces are written in Microsoft Front Page, further enhancing porta bility/sca lability.
