Modification of a cycle rickshaw based on ergonomic principles

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the modernization of existing cycle-rickshaw on ergonomic principal. Cycle Rickshaw was first introduced in our country in the year 1930. Since then no significant change has been found in the cycle rickshaw improvement. Steps have been taken by individuals, government and non government organizations for the improvement of the cycle rickshaw. This thesis focuses on the cycle rickshaw which can be made easily in any garage with available material, still having the comfort of the passenger and the ease to the puller. Cycle rickshaw is an efficient, versatile and sustainable form of transportation. Implementation of the modern rickshaw brings with it the possibility of economic and social welfare to low- and middle-income people of Bangladesh. Prioritization of cycle rickshaw’s priorities improves environmental quality and improves the quality of life of all Bangladeshi people.
