Abstract:
Multicarrier CDMA wireless communication systems are very much attractive due to its insensitivity
to frequency selective fading, diversity in frequency and high spectral efficiency. Numerous research
works are reported on performance of MC-CDMA wireless link over faded channel with numerical
simulations. In this thesis, analytical approach is developed to evaluate the bit error rate performance
of a MC-CDMA system with multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) configuration along with
smart antennas. Analysis are carried out to find the expression for BER with Zero-Forcing detector.
Results are evaluated numerically for different system parameters. Simulations are carried out without
and with smart antenna to validate the analytical results. Results show that there is significant
improvement in receiver sensitivity due to cancellation of interference by smart antenna.
