| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to construct a practical approach based on Fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (Fuzzy AHP) for Priority ranking of different Power Generation Methods in the perspective of Bangladesh. In this thesis five alternatives, five main attributes/criteria and ten sub-attributes/criteria are considered. These alternatives, attributes and sub-attributes, synthesize from experts‟ knowledge and judgments. Choosing the suitable alternatives of Power Generation Methods is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. In this study, it is tried to tap the real-life modeling potential of fuzzy logic and conjugate it with the commonly used powerful AHP modeling method. Fuzzy AHP has chosen to calculate the relative global weights of each alternative in order to reduce vagueness and ambiguity of information and ranking. It shows that the proposed Fuzzy AHP model for priority ranking of different power generation method can be a useful and effective technology assessment tool for future energy generation mix planning. | en_US |
