dc.description.abstract The Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), which offers rules for the design and construction of new buildings, was first published in 1993. This code has recently been updated, and the new version is named BNBC2020. The new code's provisions differ significantly from those of the old one. In such cases, engineers and designers are constantly interested in learning the impact of newer code provisions, particularly various analysis tools. Building behavior under earthquake stresses is a complicated phenomenon that calls for meticulous calculation. To mimic the dynamic behavior of high-rise buildings under seismic load, numerous tried-and-true approaches are available. These methods, which include equivalent static, response spectrum and time history analysis, have also been included into several codes. These three techniques are developed in the proposed BNBC 2020 for the dynamic study of buildings in the context of Bangladesh. Implementation of these techniques results in three distinct building behaviors. The outcomes of these three ways for generating various configurations, however, provide an intriguing area of research that could shed light on these well-established techniques. The goal of the current study is to apply similar static, response spectrum, and time history analysis to a controlled parametric and comparative investigation of building dynamic behavior. Finally, a comparison study is carried out using the information from the detail analysis. This study demonstrates that the maximum lateral deflection, tale drift, column axial force, and reinforcement of the column are higher for analogous static analysis and in several situations dictate response spectrum analysis than they are for time history analysis. In the end, similar static analysis and response spectrum analysis are sufficient for this class of structures. en_US
