dc.description.abstract Heat flux is an important factor in maintaining standard room temperature. It is the amount of heat transferred per unit area per unit of time. The main purpose of this thesis is to reduce heat flux in different rooms of the building. This present work examines the significance of using plastic waste in concrete slabs and determines the suitable brick for residential buildings in Bangladesh. For different temperatures in the summer and winter seasons, building heat flux and surface temperature are calculated in Bangladesh by using the Finite Element Method. Five different types of bricks are used in constructing building walls, and 10% to 30% of plastic waste is used in building concrete slabs in the present analysis. This study explores the reduction of approximately 30% of heat flux when a concrete hollow block with 30% plastic trash is used. Therefore, this study anticipates a reduction in electricity costs and plastic pollution. The scope is open to study all kinds of building models in Bangladesh. en_US
